The Savannah Airport Commission has issued a Request for Quotations (RFQ 2024-0020) for the procurement of one (1) Compact Crawler Boom Lift. The Compact Crawler Boom Lift has a 75 ft. working height and a 39 ft. outreach at a full basket capacity of 441 lb., which will reach all ceiling heights in the Terminal, Parking Decks, Atrium, Bldg. 50 (CBP) and others. At 6393 lbs., the Compact Crawler Boom Lift will also meet the Terminal floor load capacity requirements. The unit will fit through doorways less than 6.6 ft. x 3 ft. opening and is able to be transported by telehandler or trailer to any jobsite. The current electric boom lift is 16 years old and has reached its useful lifecycle with a weight of just over 12,000 lbs. All new model lifts of its type and reach have been determined to now weigh over 14,000 lbs. which exceeds the terminal floor load capacity. This forced the Savannah Airport Commission to choose a different style of lift to meet the required terminal floor load capacity, facility ceiling reach, and lift versatility. This is a budgeted item. Four (4) bids were received.
