Title 7. Authorize the City Manager to Procure an Odor Control Vapor System from OMI Industries in the Amount of $98,017 (Event No. 7951)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Recommend approval to procure an odor control vapor system from OMI Industries in the amount of $98,017. The Water Reclamation Department will use the system to remove strong odorous compounds that persist during the drying process and storing of biosolid (sludge) at the President Street Plant. The system will be manufactured and customized to Water Reclamation’s application and environment to ensure the removal of these odors and to prevent the smell from spreading throughout the city. This is a sole source purchase due to OMI Industries being the only vendor known that can supply such a system and perform odor analysis before and after installation.
