Title Motion to Award Annual Contract for Grounds Maintenance to Garcia Services, LLC (Event No. 5275) | |
Description Recommend approval to award an annual contract for grounds maintenance services from Garcia Services, LLC in the amount of $68,250.00. The contract will be used by the Department of Cemeteries to maintain Greenwich Cemetery.This contact will allow existing resources to be re-allocated, thereby improving the efficiency of cemetery maintenance and presenting an annual cost savings. This contract will provide grounds maintenance activities to Greenwich Cemetery on a bi-weekly basis. Greenwich Cemetery is located at 300 Greenwich Road. The contract term will be from July 20, 2017 through July 19, 2018. The apparent low bidder was not selected due to past performance issues. Section 1.7 of the terms and conditions states that the “City reserves the right to reject the bid of a bidder who has previously failed to perform properly or complete on time contracts of a similar nature…” | |
