The Savannah Airport Commission recommends approval to Procure a One-Megawatt Trailer Mounted Portable Generator, OEM Factory Remanufactured, from Yancey Power Systems, in the amount of $590,348.00. In the event of a major storm, the one-megawatt trailer mounted portable generator is necessary for providing emergency power for Savannah Airport Commission facilities or possible hotel for on-site housing of essential staff. This procurement was bid through the City of Savannah's Purchasing Department as Event No. 7076. Yancey Power Systems was the only bid received, due to the limited number of available one-megawatt trailer mounted portable generators. This is a 2019 budgeted item in the amount of $550,000.00.
