Description This is for Contract Modification No. 2 for Crushed Stone with Martin Marietta Materials in the amount of $140,000.
The original contract is for crushed stone to grade unpaved lanes and stabilize unpaved surfaces. This is used in most utility repairs as a base for asphalt road surfaces. Granite screenings are used to stabilize the cobblestone and Belgium block on River Street and the approach ramps. A 50% increase in utility cut repairs and cost increases in the final renewal of the contract have contributed to the required modification.
This contract will expire on October 17, 2025, with no renewal options available. This contract was originally approved by Council on February 27, 2020, in the amount of $120,000. A Contract Modification No. 1 was approved by the City Manager on November 7, 2023, in the amount of $45,000. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $305,000.
