Description Recommend approval to procure engineering services for the Industrial and Domestic raw waterline replacement from Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co. in the amount of $258,680.00. These engineering services will be used by the Public Works and Water Resources Department to replace aging infrastructure from 1947. This project site is located on the western side of Interstate 95, north of Highway 21 and includes the removal and replacement of approximately 1,900 linear feet of 48 inch waterline. All work shall be conducted while keeping the existing waterline in service. The professional services required include, but are not limited to surveying, geotechnical investigation and design, design, permitting, construction bidding, overview, and project closeout services. The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP) which evaluates criteria in addition to costs. The criteria used for this RFP were related project experience, project team, project approach, proposed schedule, DBE participation, local vendor participation, and fees. An open DBE goal was established for this project. The recommended proposed submitted participation in the amount of 21% using Coastline Consulting Services (C). | |
