Title 33. Motion to Procure Point of Sale System for the Savannah Civic Center to Appetize Technologies, Inc. (Event No. 6011)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Recommend approval to procure point of sale system from Appetize Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $98,378.50. The point of sale system will be used at the Civic Center to update and improve the process of inventory tracking, transaction security, transaction efficiency, and reporting. The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP) which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The criteria evaluated in this RFP were qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, references, DBE participation, local vendor participation, and fees. This RFP established an "Open Goal" for DBE participation. An open goal encourages proposers to achieve the highest possible DBE participation. Additionally, points were awarded to proposers based on the following criteria: Prime participation (The work is completed directly by the proposer) = 4 points; Subcontractor participation (The work is subcontracted out by the proposer) = 6 points. In this proposal the highest ranked proposer received 6 points for DBE participation. The overall DBE participation for this project will be 2%. The following DBE contractor(s) will be used to achieve this goal: Five Points Infrastructure Services, LLC (C). Five Points will be installing the final software and cabling (if needed) for the tablets before they go live.
