Execute contract to award an annual contract for uniform rental services to Cintas Corporation for an amount up to $314,928.

The uniform rental program is used by various departments throughout the City. This contract provides uniforms for City employees, excluding Savannah Police Department and Savannah Fire Rescue employees. The basic work uniform provides each uniformed employee eleven complete and new uniforms consisting of shirts, pants, and two jackets. The service also includes uniform laundering and maintenance. Other types of uniforms, such as flame-resistant clothing, high visibility clothing, coveralls, and polo shirts are included in this contract.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposal, which evaluates criteria in addition to the cost. Proposals were evaluated based on qualifications and experience, evaluation of uniforms, references, methodology, local vendor participation, DBE participation goals, and fees. There was only one proposer for this event.

The bid was advertised, opened, and reviewed. The contract term expires on January 26, 2023. This contract also includes four available annual renewal options.
