This is for a modification of the awarded primary vendor for Section A- Concrete Work and the secondary for Section B- Brick Work of the Sidewalk, Curb, and Cobblestone contract that was awarded on October 23, 2025 by Council in the total amount of $3,000,000.

This modification is needed as the primary contractor that was awarded Section A- Concrete Work of this contract has rescinded their bid. The Transportation Department is requesting to award Section A- Concrete Work to the secondary contractor, SABE, Inc., who would now be the primary contractor, in the amount of $1,215,600. They would also like to add a tertiary vendor, Savannah Paving Company in the amount of $1,393,200. The same vendor has rescinded their bid for Section B- Brick Work as the secondary vendor. The Transportation Department would like to award Section B- Brick Work to United Grounds as the secondary vendor in the amount of $344,500, and to Savannah Paving Company as tertiary vendor in the amount of $371,100.

Section A- Concrete Work will be awarded as follows:

1. SABE, Inc. $1,215,600

2. Atlantic Parking Lot $1,378,200

3. Savannah Paving Company $1,393,200

Section B- Brick will be awarded as follows:

1. SABE, Inc. $228,000

2. United Grounds Maintenance $344,500

3. Savannah Paving Company $371,100

This annual contract will allow contractors to repair sidewalks, curbs, and cobblestone/concrete streets. The contracted repairs will help alleviate the city’s backlog of work orders, reduce liabilities and improve neighborhood revitalization. Additionally, the contract will be used for the installation of new sidewalks, permanent traffic tables, and requested concrete work related to Capital Improvement Projects as well as general construction support for other departments. This is an annual contract with four (4) available renewal options.
