Recommend approval to acquire a vacant lot located at E. 58th Street (PIN: 2-0097-38-003) in support of a park development in the Sackville Neighborhood. This acquisition is one of several lots targeted to expand a park site.  The subject property is a 40’ x 105’ residential vacant lot located on the E. 58^th just east of Cedar Street, in Sackville Wilkins Ward, further identified by the Chatham County Board of Assessors as Property Identification Number (PIN) 2-0097-38-003.  The current owner is Mr. Bryant Greene.

The City and Mr. Greene have negotiated the Purchase and Sale of the property based on the terms that include a purchase price of $12,100 based on appraised values performed by a State Certified Residential Appraisal obtained by the City and a State Certified Residential Appraisal obtained by the Seller.

Staff recommends approval to acquire the vacant land located at E. 58th Street (PIN: 2-0097-38-003), and authorization to execute a contract for the negotiated purchase price of $12,100.
