Recommend approval of Contract Modification No.1 for Securing Structures to Beers Housing, Inc. in the amount of $40,000.

This amendment is needed to include the cost for services for the 2020 fiscal year to allow the Code Compliance Department to continue to address unsafe/unsecure properties throughout the city when property owners fail to address these conditions.  When this contract service is used, the property owner of record is billed for the services provided.  If the property owner does not provide payment, the City will assess a lien against the property. 

No DBE goal was established for this event due to the absence of subcontracting opportunity.

The original contract was awarded by Council on July 2, 2019 in the amount of $60,000. The total amount of the contract including the modification is $100,000.
