The petitioner is requesting approval of a Special Use Permit to allow places of worship within the RSF-6 (Residential Single Family-6) zoning district at 1202 East 69th Street. The request is required for the expansion of an existing nonconforming use. Located in the South Garden Neighborhood, the property is located on the corner of East 69th Street and Sanders Streets. It is vacant and is presently used for off-street parking during church services. The petitioner intends to construct a Welcome Center for the existing Community Bible Church to generally provide a fellowship space for the congregation between its multiple services each Sunday morning. | |
