This resolution supports two acts of state legislation “Amend CSAH” and “An Act to Create Interagency Council on Homelessness for Chatham Savannah.” These acts of legislation will support Goal 1 of the Five-Year Strategic Plan to End Homelessness by creating the ICH as planning body to address homelessness in Chatham County and Savannah. CSAH will continue to serve as the Collaborative Applicant and neither will impact any funding for CSAH. Both acts of legislations are supported by the ICH Board, CSAH Board, Chatham County, and the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. Previous letters of support have already been submitted by the City of Savannah, this will serve as a formal statement of support.
