Description Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for the replacement of the fire alarm system at the MLK Visitor Center with Johnson-Laux Construction, LLC in the amount of $15,306.93. The original contract was for the installation of a fire alarm system for the MLK Visitor Center. This modification is needed to include wiring for a storage room in the building’s alarm system. This area, which is located in the building’s basement, was not included in the project’s original drawings. The basement storage room will receive additional wiring and photo electronic sensors so that it can be included in the fire alarm system for the entire building. The original contract was approved by Council on November 18, 2019 in the amount of $142,527.87. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $157,834.80. | |
