Description This contract is for the procurement of microwave equipment and network upgrades from Williams Communication in the amount of $80,101. The current microwave system that supports the Southeast Georgia Regional Radio Network (SEGARRN) co-managed by the City of Savannah and Chatham County has reached an end-of-life status for support. As a result, an upgrade of the existing system is necessary to bring it into support and compliance while also expanding the technological capacities of the overall system. The County is responsible for 54.74% and the City 45.26% of the overall system. The total microwave system covers six sites:
This is a one (1) year contract with two (2) renewal options. The upgrade break down is a one-time cost and is as follows:

To put this system in an annual Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA), the break down is as follows:

Per section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract # 99999-SPD-T20250623-0001 for Radio Communications. It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on June 25, 2025. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days.
