| Description Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 2 for the neighborhood entrance sign construction contract to Sign D’Sign in the amount of $4,200.00. The original contract was for the procurement of six neighborhood signs to be constructed at the entrances of the Cann Park, Summerside, Twickenham, Tremont Park, and Feiler Terrace neighborhoods. This modification is needed to repair a settling planter on the Summerside neighborhood entrance sign. The original planter did not have a footer. To properly repair the planter, the contractor will need to install a new footer. The original contract was approved by Council on March 30, 2017 in the amount of $53,257.47. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $60,257.47. The second low and only other bidder was Dabbs-Williams General Contractors in the amount of $115,000.00. This modification could not have been foreseen by either bidder. | |
