Description

Recommend approval to procure an annual membership for technology advisory research services with Info-Tech Research Group in the amount of $139,230. The Information Technology Department will use the services to improve core IT processes and provide analytics to complete technology assessments, consolidation and process implementation faster and more effectively.

The data-driven software review and negotiation program with Info Tech will help save tens of thousands of dollars annually through consolidation and engagement of resources. InfoTech also provides internal leadership with education, training and implementation assistance for developing IT teams to provide value-added services to the City. This will allow the ITS department to align with City needs during critical financial times, provide staff with resources and digital tools that improve personal and professional development as well as conduct objective customer satisfaction surveys that will ensure Technology investments are aligned with the needs of the customer. The primary goal is to drive technology innovation within the city and community while avoiding the use of consultants, driving a paperless initiative, and determine appropriate IT organizational design to eliminate turnover and maximize resources.

This procurement was made through a cooperative purchasing agreement. Cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method in Division 10 Section 4-4152 of the City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance.  The contract was competitively bid by GSA and awarded to Info-Tech Research Group.expires on March 16, 2022.
