The six vehicles will be assigned to the airport’s Maintenance and Airfield departments. All units will be added to the airport’s fleet and will serve as critical assets for the Commission. The Commission advertised a Request for Quotations (RFQs) for all units for a period of thirty days. All six bids were also extended fourteen days for advertisement. Due to the absence of bid responses, the Purchasing Department shopped through the state contract, pre-negotiated cooperative purchasing agreements, and proceeded to locate the vehicles. As a result, J.C. Lewis Ford of Savannah was able to provide the vehicles which were in transit. The purchase price includes a $15,000 trade-in value credit for two of the airport’s current vehicles. All six units are 2023 budgeted items.
