28. Authorize the City Manager to Execute an Annual Contract for the Engineering and Installation of a New System that will Improve Streaming Services for the City's SGTV Channel (Cable Channel 8) in the Amount of $27,788. (ITS)

Description

This contract is for an annual contract for the engineering and installation of a new Channel Management and Playback System for SGTV with TelVue Corporation in the amount not to exceed $27,788. The equipment has reached the vendor’s end-of-life for support. In addition to current services such as video playback, recording, and programming for video-on-demand streaming, the new Channel Management, and Playback System solution will provide the ability to automate, schedule, and play media across all platforms. The new solution will provide multi-language closed captioning and support.


The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to the cost. The proposals were evaluated on the basis of the Proposer’s qualifications and experience, including support capabilities, technical capabilities, references, and fee proposals. This will be a one (1) year contract with four (4) renewal options available if all contracting parties so agree and the services provided by the vendor have been satisfactory. The first term of this contract shall begin upon award and shall end one year after the date of the award. 

Three proposals were received in response to this RFP. Three proposals were reviewed and fully evaluated by a selection committee of City staff. The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed.

A pre-proposal meeting was not conducted. (D) Indicates Non-Local Owned, Non-DBE Business.
