The Petitioner (City of Savannah) has requested approval to name a building located at 201 Montgomery Street. This building, which is a new cultural arts center, is proposed to be named the "Savannah Cultural Arts Center" to highlight the City of Savannah's dedication to local cultural arts. The proposed name of the building meets the City Ordinance standards (Section 4-1102), because it relates to local events and culture, and will strengthen neighborhood identity. The Historic Site and Monument Commission recommends approval. | |
