Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for installation of sod from Turf Services Unlimited, Inc. in the estimated amount of $47,765. The sod will be used by the Greenscapes Division to purchase and install sod within the City of Savannah parks, squares, and public rights of way. This contract will allow the Greenscapes Division’s personnel to devote their time to maintenance of greenspaces and not in the preparation or installation of sod. The apparent low bidder is not being recommended for award because the vendor did not meet specifications pertaining to qualifications and experience. This project was not identified as an SBE project because the requirement of three certified SBEs could not be met at the time this bid was released. This contract was originally approved by Council on March 14, 2019 in the estimated amount of $47,765. This is the first of three renewal options available. The contract term shall be January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. | |
