Description

Recommend approval to renew an annual contract and a contract modification No. 1 for grounds maintenance for City facilities to Garcia Services in the estimated amount of $51,660 and Samjay Services in the estimated amount of $94,318. The grounds maintenance for City facilities services will be used to maintain grounds at various City facilities.

The modification is for adding site locations and additional services to the remaining awarded vendors due to one of the vendors withdrawing from the contract. The modification also includes the amount for mulching City properties for the remainder of the year and next year.

The contract was originally approved by City Council on February 14, 2019 in the combined amount of $78,971.36 (Line-Item Bid). Including this modification, the contract amount would be $145,978. This is the first renewal of three renewal options available.  The contract term shall be January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
