The two subassembly screens, located at the Crossroads Treatment Facility, are designed to remove floating debris particles from the downstream wastewater treatment processes. The equipment covers 76 miles of the gravitty sewer system. If the screens fail to operate by clogged debris, this will result in a potential sewage spill from the treatment facility. The screen subassemblies have been in service since 2007 and have reached their useful life expectancy.

This is a sole source purchase because this vendor is the only proprietary supplier of the subassembly screens.
