On August 3, 2017, the Savannah City Council awarded the Business Services Support & Compliance Contract totaling $550,000.00 to the Ross Innovative Employment Solutions Corporation to provide WIOA Adult and Dislocated Workers services for the PY2017 period, July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. 

On November 9, 2017, The Savannah City Council accepted the National Dislocated Worker Grant Award (NDWG) in the amount of $200,000.00. The Coastal Workforce Development Board's Executive Committee is now seeking authorization for approval of a modification to extend the Business Services Support & Compliance contract until August 31, 2018 and to add an additional $197,956.00 of the awarded NDWG funds to provide work experience and support to individuals assisting in the clean-up and recovery efforts in Camden County.

Pursuant to the Coastal Workforce Services Consortium Agreement, the City of Savannah serves as the fiduciary agent for the 10-county region, and as such, City Council approval and authorization for the City Manager to receive grant funding and enter into grant administration agreements with sub-recipients is necessary in accordance with the City of Savannah's procurement policies and procedures.
