Title Motion to Accept FY18 SNAP Works 2.0 Funds in the Amount of $541,663.64. | |
Description The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) awarded the FY18 SNAP Works 2.0 grant totaling $541,663.64 to the City of Savannah and WorkSource Coastal to serve Bulloch, Chatham, and Glynn counties. This is the third allocation of a three-year total grant award of $1,849,990.93. The SNAP Works 2.0 grant is part of a pilot project in which GDOL, Department of Family and Children Services, and the Coastal Workforce Development Board (CWDB) will partner to deliver training services and assistance to recipients to enter into the workforce. The CWDB will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of case management and training activities. The funding period for this grant is October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. Pursuant to the Coastal Workforce Services Consortium Agreement, the City of Savannah serves as the fiduciary agent for the 10-county region, and as such, City Council approval and authorization for the City Manager to receive grant funding and enter into grant administration agreements is necessary in accordance with the City of Savannah's procurement policies and procedures | |
