Description This is a notification of an emergency purchase for the rental and delivery of temporary sheet piles to stabilize the Trade Center Riverwalk from Myrick Marine in the amount of $81,659.
On the morning of June 18, 2022, the bulkhead in front of the Trade Center on Hutchinson Island began to fail. As the weekend progressed, the Riverwalk degraded and collapsed towards the parking garage. Engineers onsite created a temporary solution to stabilize the wall using rented sheet piles. Myrick Marine was able to locate the sheet piles and have them delivered to the site by June 21, 2022. An emergency action was needed to prevent a full collapse of the Riverwalk. Without a response from the County, the City moved forward and ordered the sheet piles.
The vendor is: E.P. Myrick Marine (191 Fig Island Drive Savannah, GA)(B) $81,659 (B) Indicates local, non-DBE business. | |
