This contract is to procure the replacement of a D8T Bulldozer undercarriage from Yancey CAT in the amount of $45,221. The D8T bulldozer is a waste-handling machine used to support operations at the Dean Forest Road Landfill. It’s used for shallow digging and ditching, short-range transporting of material, spreading soil, rough grading, and cleaning and leveling around loading equipment. The undercarriage is a wear item and requires replacement every 2.5 to 3 years. It is also considered a consumable item that is not covered under CAT’s maintenance agreement. Repairs to this machine are necessary to ensure permit compliance with the Environmental Protection Division. This is a sole source procurement as the undercarriage is an OEM part via Yancey CAT.  Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days.
