​​This is for the sale of a surplus vacant lot located at 1425 West Gwinnett Street to JW Moore Properties, LLC in the amount of $21,101. The 1425 West Gwinnett Street (PIN 20050 16022) property was declared surplus and available for sale during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on August 8,2024.  A request for proposals bid was issued August 21,2024.  Staff marketed the property for a period of forty (40) days to provide due notice to the public and state the conditions associated with the sale.  The request closed on October 1,2024.  Additionally, an appraisal from a well-qualified, state certified general real estate appraiser reported the fair market value at $21,000.   

Two bids/proposals were received. ​JW Moore Properties, LLC was the highest rated proposal.  The proposer owns the property directly east and would like to utilize the lot for additional parking. The proposer has agreed to pay a price of $21,101.00 to acquire the property. The sale of this property will benefit the City by reducing maintenance cost. Furtheer request approval for City Manager to execute deed and associated closing documents.
