Description

The City of Port Wentworth has requested a fifth amendment to the 2001 water and sewer agreement with the City of Savannah. This amendment request is based on the need for:

(1) an increase in the average monthly flow above the maximum in the fourth amendment to meet growing demand in Port Wentworth’s service area, and

(2) a new connection and metering station to be built along Montieth Road intended to serve a portion of this expanded demand.

City of Savannah staff concur with the estimated demand increase, the need for the additional metering station, and the ability of our water supply system to serve the increased demand as specified in the agreement.
