Description

The City of Savannah received an annexation petition for a parcel with approximately 5.09 acres located on West Gateway Boulevard near Fort Argyle Road. Pursuant to the parcel's current zoning by Chatham County, the parcel's zoning after annexation will be designated “P-B-C-CO” on the zoning map of Chatham County.

The parcel is owned by 204 Hospitality, LLC. The land under petition is contiguous to existing City territory and therefore can be annexed by ordinance adopted by City Council. As required by State law, Chatham County has been informed of receipt of this petition.

Annexation is being sought by the owner to gain access to the municipal utilities provided by the City. The owner desires to gain access to these services on in-city terms. The cost of providing water and sewer service to the parcel will be fully covered by connection fees and service fees levied by the City for providing service. The proposed future use of the property is hotel and restaurant.
