Approval to amend the Charter of the City of Savannah to revise certain provisions regarding the rights and obligations of the Airport Commission with respect to airport property. 

This charter amendment has been revised to remove the provision that requires airport purchases over $1,000 be approved by City Council, as that is covered by the amendment to the purchasing ordinance discussed above in agenda item 24. This amendment also removes the requirement that City Council approve airport leases (City Council has never been asked to approve leases), while retaining the City Council approval requirement for the “sale or conveyance” of real property.
