Description

This contract is for construction services for the Dundee Cottages infrastructure with Johnson-Laux in an amount not to exceed $3,241,415. This project will install the underground utilities and above ground infrastructure for the Dundee Cottages site. The work includes installing the water and sewer for the site, clearing and grading, removal of debris and poor soils, bringing in suitable soils, landscaping, and hardscapes. The site lighting will be installed by Georgia Power on a separate contract. The infrastructure will be used to support a tiny home community to assist the homeless.

 

The State of Georgia’s job order contract will be used to perform this project to meet time constraints and City ordinance requirements. The State of Georgia’s job order contract is considered a convenience contract that is available for use by all State, City, and County public entities. The purpose of this contract is to provide multi-traded general construction services to accomplish small to medium sized projects for repair, alteration, modernization, rehabilitation, renovation and minor new construction to infrastructure, buildings, structures, or other real property. The State of Georgia used a competitive bidding procedure to select contractors to perform these services for this project. Per Section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract for construction services (Contract # 99999-SPD-S20200901-00022). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires August 31, 2024. Terms: Net 30 days. Delivery: As requested.

A pre-proposal meeting was not conducted as these services are being procured through the use of a state contract. (A) Indicates local, DBE-owned business.
