This contract is to procure design services for the Eastside gym addition at the Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center (PARC) from Hussey Gay Bell in the amount of $452,500. These services will be used to develop addition plans to construct a gym at the existing building at PARC. The program of spaces will include a gymnasium, player locker rooms, gym office and storage, public restrooms, and lobby. The consultant’s services will include concepts, schematic design, design development, construction documents (including architectural/structural/mechanical/electrical/plumbing), construction administration services, and project closeout. 

The is a sole source request as this is an addition to a recent new construction project designed by the same Designer of Record. The vendor's fee proposal is in line with similar projects in this marketplace and will utilize the same design team for the addition that was used for the initial design of the building, creating synergies during both the design and construction phases.
