Description With City support and the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF), CHSA Development, Inc. is investing in a housing development at 916 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard with frontage adjoining on West Walburg Street and West Bolton Street in the West Victorian neighborhood. The development includes 16 new affordable apartments with resident services space. The project will serve individuals experiencing, exiting, or at risk of homelessness which addresses City Council’s priority of increasing the availability of affordable housing. City Council approved up to $500,000 in capital improvement funding for this project, (PD0921) for site work and public infrastructure improvements such as installation of water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater infrastructure, along with the construction of a parking lot. The Development Agreement with CHSA, Inc. will facilitate completion of these public improvements. | |
