Recommend retroactive approval of a Facility Use Agreement between the Board of Public Education for the City of Savannah and the County of Chatham (District) and the City of Savannah (City). The Agreement granted the City a temporary, revocable, nonexclusive license to use the District-owned pool facilities at Bishop Gilbert Haven Elementary School (5111 Dillon Avenue) and Otis J. Brock Elementary School (1804 Stratford Street) on approved dates and during approved hours. The Agreement was effective from July 7, 2026, through August 1, 2026.

Under the Agreement, the District retained ownership of the facilities and responsibility for all maintenance. The City was authorized to conduct and supervise City-sponsored public swimming, swim instruction, water safety programs, aquatic recreation, community events, and other lawful recreational or educational activities approved by the District.

This partnership expanded residents' access to aquatic programming, promoted the efficient use of public facilities, and continued the longstanding collaboration between the City and the District.
