ALTEL Systems will provide labor and material to replace the existing steerable line array (public address) speakers in the airport’s Savannah Square. The Current (PA) speakers were installed in 2011 and have reached their lifecycle with failure within 1/2 of the speaker array. As part of this project, ALTEL Systems Group will replace the existing (PA) Tannoy Q-Flex 48-line arrays with the industry-leading Renkus Heinz IC Live Dual steerable line arrays. Speakers will be relocated to the corners of Savannah Square away from the Commission Conference Room balcony doors. Altel Systems will provide full set-up, aiming, equalization, programming with PA systems and software, testing, comprehensive staff training on GlobalCom/ControlKom (GCK) for Airport maintenance personnel and provide a 5-year warranty on speakers.

This is a sole source installation due to ALTEL Systems Group Inc. being the sole provider for the current Atlas/IED GlobalCom/ControlKom Public Address System. This project was not budgeted for 2022, however, due to the failure of ½ of the public address speaker array, it is an urgent replacement project.
