Description This is a contract to procure two replacement hydropneumatic (pressurized water) tanks from Pinholster Construction, LLC dba Pinco in the amount of $283,250. The existing tanks were evaluated and determined to be near the end of their useful life (existing tanks are 40-50 years old). The tanks are being replaced to prevent service disruption and maintain a reliable water system. A 10,000-gallon tank at well #28 located on Whitemarsh Island and a 15,000-gallon tank at well #42 located in Southbridge are pressure tanks necessary for the water system to function properly. These tanks maintain pressurized water from the pump for gradual release into the water distribution system. By regulating system pressures, the hydropneumatic tanks provide more consistent water pressure to customers and minimize the occurrence of pressure surges.
