Description The petition from Robert McCorkle (agent) on behalf of Northpoint Industrial XVI, LLC (petitioner) for Speir Property, LLC (owner) is to zone approximately 667.895 acres at 420 Bush Road and 302 Bush Road (PIN 11026 01017 and 11026 01002C) from RA (Residential Agriculture) to RA-CO (Residential Agriculture-County) and PDR-SM (Planned Development Reclamation-Surface Mining) to PDR-SM-CO (Planned Development Reclamation-Surface Mining-County). The request supports the annexation petition for the property. If the annexation and zoning are approved by Mayor and Aldermen, the petitioner intends to rezone 471 acres to IL (Light Industrial) under the City’s Zoning Ordinance. This will require a public hearing with the Metropolitan Planning Commission and then by Mayor and Aldermen. Section 1.6 of the Zoning Ordinance states that property annexed into the City boundaries may, by adoption, be retained and incorporated into the City’s zoning map under the County’s zoning district applicable to the property at the time of annexation. This is accomplished by approving the zoning designation and adding the suffix “-CO” (for County) to the zoning district to show that the County’s zoning shall apply to the annexed property. | |
