This unit will be assigned to SAC’s Grounds Department as an additional asset. The equipment will be used to fill low spots along airport roadsides, apply soil amendments, and support winter operations through salting and sanding. This multi-purpose unit will also support agronomic applications, including spreading compost and sand to improve soil conditions and address ruts. The Commission issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from February 17, 2026, through March 18, 2026. A total of six (6) bids were received; two (2) were deemed non-compliant with specifications, and one (1) was determined to be non-responsive. After evaluating all remaining submissions, St. Johns Turf Care was identified as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specifications. This purchase is included in the approved FY2026 budget, with $45,000 allocated.
