Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for machine repair and welding services from Coastal Sunbelt Associates, Inc. (primary) for an amount up to $112,465 and L&H Welding (secondary) for an amount up to $25,210. Public Works and Water Resources uses the contract pirmarily to repair mechanical assemblies in the stormwater pumping stations. These repairs include: removing, rebuilding and reinstalling gearboxes for bar screens, fabricating parts that are no longer available for older pump station equipment, removing and installing roller bearings in bar screen assemblies, fabricating custom parts for the pump stations in conjunction with retrofits by City staff, general machine shop work and welding if necessary to complete the repair. These services are essential to City operations. The services range from $40 to $60 per hour. The total amount spent in 2020 was $137,675. The contract was originally approved by Council on June 6, 2019. This is the second of four renewal options available. Coastal Sunbelt Associates, Inc.
