The subject property on E 58^th St (PIN 2-0097-38-001) is a 40-foot-by-105-foot vacant, residential lot within the Edgemere/Sackville neighborhood located at the southeast corner of E. 58^th Street and Cedar Street. Acquisition of the lot is necessary to acquire the lot as part of the Savannah Shines initiative for development of a neighborhood park. The City has acquired and taken possession on two lots directly east, PINs 2-0097-38-002 and PINs 2-0097-38-003. This property is the final acquisition and is an integral lot to the proposed park. 

The current owners are Mr. & Mrs. L.E. & V.C. Mitchell. The Mitchells have agreed to sell the property at a net purchase price of $18,000.00. 

Staff recommends approval to acquire the vacant land located at E. 58^th Street (PIN 2-0097-38-001) at the negotiated price of $18,000.00.
