This is for contract modification No 1 for the final project closeout of the renovations project for the City of Savannah’s Entrepreneurial Center. The scope of this contract was to perform renovations and repair work on the Entrepreneurial Center. The necessary renovations included improving the building’s envelope, which included installing a new roof, new windows, and conducting exterior masonry repairs to address water infiltration issues.

The structure was originally constructed between 1908-1909, initially serving as Engine House No. 7. The renovations and repairs were designed to preserve the original historic value of the building. Work on this project commenced in October of 2022 and was completed September 2023.

The final project closeout modification is $36,528. This modification covers additional wood blocking and repairing the wood cornice. These items exceeded the estimated quantity in the contract due to the discovery of additional deterioration after the wood decking was exposed under the roof and the historic internal gutter was opened.

The original contract was approved by Council on September 8, 2022, in the amount of $461,920. With this modification included, the total contract amount to date is $498,448. A 60-day time extension is included in this modification.
