14. Motion to Authorize the City Manager to Execute an Annual Contract with Tribond for Janitorial Services in the Estimated Amount of $75,060 (Event No. 7222)

Description

Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute an annual contract with Tribond for janitorial services at several community centers including: Cloverdale Community Center, Carver Heights, Woodville Community Center, Grant Center, Moses Jackson Center, and the Moses Jackson Advancement Center in ht estimated amount of $75,060. This annual contract with provide janitorial services that encompass approximately 49,000 square feet of space. The City is currently using month-to-month agreements with several different janitorial contractors.  A selection committee met and reviewed all proposals received and gave Tribond the highest score among submitted proposals for this event.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP) which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The criteria used for this RFP were qualifications and experience, methodology and project approach, references, LDBE participation, local vendor participation, and fees. The Office of Business Opportunity assigned an open goal with a total of 5 points going to LDBE. The responses for participation were scored by the Office of Business Opportunity.

The contract term shall be from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
