Motion to Amend the Code of Ordinances to Remove Parking Restriction in the 500 Block of West Charlton Street
Description

The owner of the residence at 535 West Charlton Street has requested that the two-hour, once-per-day parking restriction on the south side of the street be removed.

The Traffic Engineering and Mobility and Parking Services departments have investigated and also met with the property owners. With the exception of major holidays, on-street parking is rarely fully occupied.

Recommend eliminating the time-limited parking restriction on the south side of the west end of the 500 block of West Charlton Street.

CODE AMENDMENT

  1. the Code of the City of Savannah, Section 7-1112, Appendix I, Section 234. Designated time limits; time-controlled parking zones (unmetered). (c) Time limitations between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day except Sundays and public holidays shall be two hours in the following time controlled parking zones:

REMOVE:

West Charlton Street: 

From 60 feet east of Purse Street to 120 feet east of Purse Street
