Recommend approval to award an annual contract for truckloads of gasoline and diesel fuel from Sommers Oil Company in the amount $3,478,995.00, and an annual contract for tank wagon loads of gasoline and diesel fuel from Barrett Oil Distributors in the amount of $1,523,365.00.  The total estimated amount of this annual contract is $5,002,360.00.

The contract will allow the Fleet Services Department to procure transport truckload (tanker) fuel for the three fueling locations (City Lot, Sallie Mood, and Police Headquarters) that will be utilized by various City departments to fuel equipment for daily operations.  In addition, the contract allows various City departments to procure by the tank (fuel) wagon for smaller capacity tanks, generators, etc.

This is a cooperative bid which was solicited by Chatham County. Contract No. 18-0010-6A was awarded to Sommers Oil Company for transport truckloads (tanker) of gasoline and diesel fuel, and to Barrett Oil Distributors for transport by tank (fuel) wagon.
