Description

This is a petition of Bridget Lidy on behalf of the Mayor and Aldermen to rezone the property at 1313 Habersham Street (PIN 20053 12003) from TN-1 (Traditional Neighborhood-1) to TC-1 (Traditional Commercial-1).  In July 2019 when NewZO was approved, the zoning map was updated.  The parcel located at 1313 Habersham was downzoned from the 1-B zoning district to the Traditional Neighborhood (TN-1) zoning district.  Located on the northwest corner of Habersham and East Anderson street, the other three corners of the intersection remained commercial under the Traditional Commerical-1 (TC-1) zoning district when NewZO was approved.  This building was constructed in 1950 and is commercial in nature with large retail windows. It is currently being used as a coffee shop which is not permitted under the current zoning classification. The rezoning is needed to bring the parcel back into conformity (File No. 20-001805-ZA).
