This contract is for the purchase of protective clothing for the Savannah Fire Department from Bennet Fire Products Company in an amount up to $160,000. The contract will provide protective clothing for Savannah Firefighters working in immediately dangerous life or health environments such as fires to keep them safe. Approval of the contract will allow firefighters to safely continue service delivery and also enable Savannah Fire to continue its cancer reduction initiatives by providing protective equipment ensemble with carcinogen particulate protection incorporated into the protective equipment. Savannah Fire Department recommends Bennett Fire Products Company be awarded its annual personal protective equipment contract. Bennett Fire Products Company was the lowest bidder who submitted a complete bid that met all the personal protective equipment requirements. The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days. Six proposals were received and one was deemed non-responsive.
