Mr. Mukesh Sheth is the owner of a 54-acre +/- tract of land being planned for residential development located at 0 Little Neck Road (PIN 51009 02022). The tract is land-locked, and Sheth has requested a 0.136-acre easement across the City-owned Savannah and Ogeechee Canal (the “Canal”) to access his property and extend utilities. The City is obligated by law to provide access in situations like this, but the form of access is negotiable. Staff has negotiated a resolution to this matter whereby Sheth has agreed to convey 1.392 acres of his property to the City to widen the Canal, as well as a portion of a recreational trail developed by the County which encroaches onto his property, in exchange for the grant of the 0.136-acre easement.

This petition has been reviewed and approved by Development Services, Stormwater, Water Sewer Planning & Engineering, and Real Estate Services. Further request authorization for the City Manager to execute associated closing documents.
