Title
42. Motion to Procure SmartForce Agency Management System Software from Adventos Corporation (Event No. 6950)
Strategic Priority
Public Safety
Description

Recommend approval to procure SmartForce Agency Management System software from Adventos Corporation in the amount of $49,000.00.  The Savannah Police Department will use this software to replace the outdated and limited intelligence process used by the Savannah Area Regional Intelligence Center (SARIC), which includes the SARIC website format currently being used.  The implementation of SmartForce will provide the following: notifications both internal and external will be vastly improved and streamlined; intelligence/information gathering for electronic "shift briefings" for officers would be provided on an easy to use system; notification of critical alerts, high priority cases, operations, and offenders will be distributed quickly; and easy to use professional level "WANTED" style bulletins/posters can be produced.

The addition of SmartForce Agency Management software will benefit the City of Savannah by providing processes for communicating critical incidents to those internally at SPD and with the Aldermen.  Requests will be recorded, assigned, and easily tracked, and also by directing Patrol and Investigations to conduct operations and allow those units assigned supervisors to see a complete picture of the activity and results of those operations.  All of these improvements would help the department to run more efficiently and effectively.  This is a sole source contract because Adventos Corporation is the only known supplier of this software.
