Recommend approval to award an annual maintenance and repair service agreement for the City-owned portion of the Savannah/Chatham County Motorola Astro 25 radio network hardware to Motorola Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $191,467.56. This annual service agreement supports the infrastructure of the radio network system, as well as the 911 Center radio dispatch console system.

This is a sole source because of the complex design and architecture of the radio network system and because Motorola is the original provider of the system. As such, Motorola does not allow resellers to offer primary support of this system. It is critical to have maintenance and support from the original provider to ensure authorized, knowledgeable and timely vendor support if and when it is necessary.

The term of the agreement will be from March 15, 2018 through March 14, 2019.
